Mercantile Wed Open MikeResident Open Mic
Hosted by Ollie Cole & Colm Quearney - All Welcome.....
The Resident Open Mic is weekly open mic with a bit of a twist.
The night is hosted by household names in the business of making songs. Each week/month we will see different established artists going back to their roots by not just playing at the open mic but by hosting it. This new concept in open mics in The Mercantile and supported by the good guy's in 5 Lamps, gives the artists a chance to try out new songs, play some of their classics and most importantly it gives a chance for new songwriters to play their music in front of some of their favorite songwriters.
All songwriters/bands welcome- first come first on the list- must be 18 or over.  Sign up starts at 8pm.  email [email protected] for any more details

Anti-One Double EP Launch
After a triumphant support slot with Astronautalis in January, Anti-One disappeared back to the studio. Emerging with two EPs, Anti-One is taking to the stage at the Mercantile on April 28th to launch them clean into the atmosphere with the help of his blistering band, The Plus Ones. The two EPs, Alice 2 and PROCRASS, couldn't be more different in sound, but are both uniquely Anti-One.
A sufferer of Fibromyalgia, there is a ticket option to donate to FibroIreland, an organisation providing support to people with Fibromyalgia.

  • Anti-One is a rapper, vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Dublin. A jack of all trades, he's been compared to rappers B. Dolan, Sage Francis, Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West, with comparisons to Beck often thrown in. His last EP Alice was noted for a wealth of influences, from modern trap music to 90s rave and house music with orchestral flourishes.

"His live show is developing into quite the rap and rock noise, but Anti-One’s new EP is a more subtle, DIY electronic affair."

    - State Magazine

"There was a time when people would look cock-eyed at the notion [of Irish hip-hop], thanks to artists like Anti-One, those days are becoming more and more a distant memory."
