It may seem that Halloween nowadays is a time for children only, but I know some old people yet who prefer (in time honoured fashion) not be out alone between midnight and 4.00 a.m. on Halloween night – for fear of The Good People, Na Daoine Uaisle, whose night it is. All kinds of otherworldly dangers await the unwary on this night, and Eddie has stories to reflect this – as well as many others of course. “In fact, whatever themes the audience request I will do my best to match stories to, no matter whether they relate to this world or the otherworldly”. From 8:30pm to approx. 9:45pm. Eddie Lenihan (born 1950) is an Irish author, storyteller, lecturer and broadcaster. He is one of the few practicing seanchaithe (traditional Irish lore-keepers and tale-spinners) remaining in Ireland. He has been called “one of the greatest Irish story-tellers and a national treasure.”
